Sea Angling in Reykjavik, Iceland
With Special Tours you can enjoy the fishing adventure of a lifetime! Sea Angling is a great activity for all ages. Although all of our boats are well equipped for sea angling, for our daily trips we mostly use a traditional Icelandic fishing boat called Haffari (meaning Ocean-Rider). Fishing rods, protective clothing and other equipment are all provided. On our sea angling trips you are in with a good chance of catching cod, halibut, haddock, rockfish and pollock. We set off from Reykjavik´s Old Harbour and head out to Faxaflói Bay, where our experienced fishermen will usually spot fish in a flash! We will also often pop in for a visit to the puffin island on our way to the fishing grounds.
If you haven´t been sea angling before, don´t worry, it is very easy, and our cre
w will happily show you the ropes, advising you on bait and passing on their knowledge of the seas.
Our sea angling tours are perfectly suited both to experienced fishermen and to those who simply wish to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding with a fishing rod in hand. On our sea angling tours you get to spend a lot of time with your captain and the crew, who are always telling entertaining stories of the sea and very willing to answer any questions you may have.
Our guided sea angling tours take 2.5 - 3 hours and start at the Reykjavik Old Harbour, conveniently located only a 5 minute walk away from down town Reykjavik.
Barbequing the fish caught is indeed available and a popular option for the proud fishermen!

In our Sea angling trips we sail from Reykjavík‘s Old Harbour out to Faxaflói Bay and our experienced captains usually find fish very soon.
